I can get behind that. But have you ever made a "no wire hangers!" joke to someone and they have no idea what you're talking about, then you have to give the whole explanation? It usually takes about 20 minutes.
Or just give them a box of wire hangers for Christmas. Still relatively inexpensive, and you get to maintain your family ties. You might need a kidney one day.

I would add to that list: Mommy Dearest. It's a hilarious movie about child abuse- that's got to count for something.

The wire hanger test is a good selector. Make the reference, if the person doesn't get it, you know that you can never speak to them again.
Try it at Thanksgiving and you might be able to write off your whole family. It was worth it in the money I saved on Christmas presents alone.
